IMA’S (International Multispecialty Arts’ School-Kolkata) successfully completed an International event first time since it was born on 7th of May’19.The event was held on the 31st of August’19 at its premises . Around 33 no. of children enrolled their names. But, 28.no of children from different parts of city and suburb participated in the contest.
The event was illuminated with the presence of legendary sculptor Guru Tarak Garai as a special guest .Most of the participants explained the significance of the title of their picture art to the world famous sculptor. Guru Tarak Garai handed over the Certificates of Appreciation to each participant.
The event was very prestigious for IMA’S and the participants as well because the event was organized throughout the globe. Children from different parts of the world have been participating this contest for the last 27 years.
The 27th Annual World Children’s Picture Contest was primarily hosted by IE-NO-HIKARI Association, a member of Japan Agricultural Cooperatives(JA) that works for improving international and regional ties with the use of cultural activities. The association explained that through the picture art, they wanted to focus on children to understand the importance of food that they need to live and to teach the value of family, friendship and different communities.
As a matter of fact, with a view to bringing art into community, IMA’S could meet its commitment to a small scale through this event.
Hence, IMA’S requests to the cultural fraternity of this city to come forward with their advice and assistance for making this institution as one of the premium institutions in Kolkata with quality teaching skills along with a mission to encorourage community development.
